It appears to be a consensus that the T5 aluminum input bearing housing should be upgraded to steel or iron for smoother shifting performance. Unfortunately I am using a RAM 718136 that requires the IBH to be reduced in OD by machining in order to work. Given the fact that we all don't have machine shops at our disposal, is there anyone who makes a steel housing that is available off the shelf with the reduced O.D.?
