Hi guys, wondering if someone can help me out. I just tried to test fit the new trunk weather stripping and found it very awkward, i did a search on the forum and found someone else had the same problem and was told it was the wrong weather strip for his car. On the package it says it's for 70-77 maverick but it doesn't fit my 71 comet

That is the right stuff. It has to be GLUED on. The little lip goes to the inside.

Your trunk will be hard to shut until you get the gasket smashed down a little.
