a 71-78 Pinto Hood with twin scoops 13" x 31" x 1-1/2" i am going to have hood pins put on it ,not the fron latch
it'll fit great if you got the rest of the pinto to go with it. there probably nthing out there that will fit a maverick without a lot of modifying.
put it on anyway. You can say the gaps around the sides are part of the air induction system. Actually, assumming that is a fiberglass hood, you could probably cut off the scoop part off and glass it on a stock hood.
Having driven a pinto far years the view looking out the windshield is close to a Maverick, the instrument panel looks close and the top of the fenders conture looked close, will anything besides tail lights be the same? I heard Pinto wagons had 8in rear ends.
Here is what i am thinking of? Stick with the stock hood just cut it were i have a couple of scoops? then go with a billet grill? What do yall think? Sorry about the crapy art work i am not good at drawing!!!
I did something like that not too long ago but I still don`t know if I like it or not , I still need to take out the cardbord and put in some 22 gauge metal but thats perdy much what it will look like
Ya that is short of what i am thinking but i want to stick with the rectangels on the hood if i stick with that consept i might just do a cowl hood but add somthing else on there i dont know what i might find a place that well custem build a hood for me?
Not too sure about the grill idea, but the hood openings might actually be cool. You might even be able to have it louvered like they do on custom hot-rod hoods and tailgates on trucks...
