and I think so did everybody else in KC!! Man the staging lanes were packed full. It took an hour and a half to get one run in! Of course, everything had to be perfect, and it wasn't. When I launched the motor came up and then choked big time. I've been thinking the motor must have been too cool, because it will do that if I mash it before the motor warms up. Once I let up and let the motor catch up to itself, I punched it again, this time inducing the all too familiar wheelspin. Ended up with a 14.66 @ 101.32, which I thought was a pretty good time considering how much time I lost on the launch. That's a new high MPH for me, so I was excited about that. One of these days maybe I'll figure out how to read my motor, and save my pennies for some traction, and put together a really good run.
Matt that MPH should easily get you in the mid 13s. Thats AWESOME!!!!! I haven't been racing since the round up
mine did the same at the et finals this year. first round sunday morning. bogged off the line and i lost by .004. it was cool out and i figured i didn't get the engine warm enough. i try to leave at about 160 after the thermostat opens. sounds like a good mph though. i run about 112 mph and run 12.00 in good air.
