I was just scrolling thru the "whose online" and noticed that at the end of the members was guests, yahoo slurp spiders, google spider and MSNbot spider. Are these potential hackers,or the automated jerks looking for email addresses? If they are email hunters, looks like I will post my email a different way.

I think they are just monitoring online activity for google searches, etc.

Try googling "scooper77515" and see what pops up. Mostly Forum stuff from here and Seadoo forum, and my website. Those items are identified by the spiders and bots so that they show up on the searches.

I think...:hmmm: That is just my guess.

I'd do what he says. 'Cause I suspect he could outfit a militia just with what's in his sock drawer. :D

You are correct .......... all search engines do this.

They are ubiquitous to the web now.

"Spiders." They've been "crawling the web" since the first search engines. I'd say they were already pretty ubiquitous by 1994, when web servers started having to leave little notes for them saying what they should and shouldn't index.

Its just search engines' crawlers indexing the site. They can only crawl parts of the site that are accessible to guests. As long as you dont post your email directly in a post, they wont index it.
