I was just curious to see what other cars besides the Mav/Comet gets your blood pumping. Dream cars? Stuff that there's no way in heck that you would ever be able to afford? Even stuff that you think is just plain cool.

Here are some of mine, in no particular order:
    -McLaren MP4-12C
    -69 Mercury Cyclone
    -69 Mercury Cougar
    - Ford GT
-Any of the 48-51 Merc/Ford "Lead Sleds"
    -72 Mach 1

The Ford GT tops my list, other than that, maybe a nice 66 or 68 Mustang fastback, then maybe a Model A, or 32 Ford. I admire lots of other cars, just no real want for any of them.

I have friends with Boss 429's, CJ, and Shelby's, so the mystique of them is kinda lost on me.

Since we can't pick from the Maverick/Comet crowd, I'd have to say a 72 Gran Torino Sport would be on the top of my list--and not because of the movie, either.

My Dad flew to Montreal in '73 with a friend of the family that also sold used cars. He would often go to Montreal to buy cars from auction and resell them here in NB. My grandfather was in need of a car at the time, so he sent my father with "Joe" to Montreal with a blank cheque. Dad (22 at the time) returned with a 72 Gran Torino Sportsroof. It was "only" a 302, automatic with bench seats, but Dad always had great memories of that car and loved it from the first time he saw it. I would love to have a clone (colour "5H", interior wise, etc) of that car. They just look so cool, and it would be a very fitting way to remember two strong influences in my life. of course, since we're dreaming, I would have a turn-key Coyote under the hood.

Sorry for the long-winded speel, but I just wanted to clarify this was not a band-wagon pick. :D

Oh so many but top on my list would be a mid 60's Vette. Would have to be a plain jane non numbers matching car because I would mod it.

Next would be a 70 AMX, such cool cars.
