I am going to put a 351w in my maverick. It will have flatops around 10-1 compression, 70 351w heads with aftermarket springs. It will be hooked to a 9 inch with 3.73 gears. I am thinking a 3000-3500 stall and around a .540 lift cam but I want your opinion. It will see street use and a weekend racer. It will not be a daily driver nor see time on the interstate

for something street i would keep the converter around the 3k range, your cam choice is going to be simular to mine so i cant complain there :D lol

you're going to build a 351 close to what i have underway right now, except mine is full roller with 11:1, and a set of trick flow heads. hell, just read my signature...lol

I am using the Comp Cams 274EE cam! Very streetable, sounds good at idle, makes excellent torque, pulls strong, a very reliable Cam! I was running 12.70 with the stock heads('70 heads) and a 2400convertor...figured it would run much quicker with a 3000stall...but never got one yet to try.
