Well some of you might remember the fight i've had with headers and spark plug clearances/melting boots..i ended up with hedman shortys that had # 5&6 cyl. tubes punched in..they were small to start so smashing them in didn't help much but it got me on the road, so i was curious if anyone had plugs angled the same as i do and what headers you are running, i'd like to go with 1 3/4"..but if i have to do 1 5/8" i will....trying to find something before i decide to spend all my time making a set. the link i listed above are the heads i am running, they are RHS pro action 20*

I have Racing Head Service Pro Action 180 cc Cast Iron Heads. I am using Doug Thorley Shortys.

I had to "massage" the tubes a little as well.

Any chance you have a picture oh how much massaging was needed to be done? I had to o pretty far with my Hedmans, so far that I will not use them again.

302, and I just did a lot of research and decided to go 1 5/8" :) might even just make me own set.. Looking online for U-build sets and bends but can't find all that many.. Might go buy some tubing and see if I can have a shop make me a bunch of bends.

If you're gonna design and/or build your own you should invest in PipeMax software:

Instead of "doing a lot of research" this will nail it down for you.
