What is the typical OEM alternator output , trying to gauge existing wiring specs':

Interested in upgrading the alternator in my 74 Maverick (no OEM AC) to 3G one wire setup like on forum threads. '74 Maverick now has 250 Six with Elec. fuel Pump and Elec. Cooling Fan. Planning on adding evacuation pump for boost - blowby (Audi air pump @ 10A ) .

    thanks

Generally 42A & with air 55A. AFAIK there is no difference in the harness for either.

Output .... the short answer .... NOT ENOUGH! :p

Go big! I always hated seeing my headlights dim at idle and then kick back up as you rev the motor.

    I agree.
Before my V8 even goes in the car, it’s getting fitted with a 130 amp alternator.

The pumps out of a 80-96 Ford E150 van, the bracket is a Borgeson 802409.
If I was to do it again I would get a GM pump as I had to remove the reservoir and drill a second hole to mount the Ford pump using the Borgeson bracket.
