on the right hand fender well underneath the starter solenoid on my 70 maverick there is a box with wires plugged in now not to sound stooopid but what the heck is it ? i went to autoparts store to buy a new one i thought it was voltage regulator or ignition module but they didint list one that looked anything like this
should be the voltage regulator for the charging system. that's the only thing i have seen on a maverick in that location..... unless someone put something else on there in its lifetime
Definitely should be your regulator. There should be a 4-wire plug about 2 inches wide going into the side of it.
