what kind of engine?

    could anyone tell me what kind of engine shelby maverick had and if it had a c4 tranny or c6, and if it had a 9" or 8" rear

    460 bored out to a 514, C6 trans, narrowed Dana 60 truck rear with 4:10's. (y)

    This was done with no shock tower or transmission tunnel mods. :clap:

    and if you actually believe that,..... then you'll also need to know that the shelby maverick had 4 wheel antilock brakes, 18 inch rims and 4 wheel independant load sensing suspension. and you could order them with paxton superchargers for an additional 25 bucks :evilsmile

    best info on them states it was a 302 with 4 speed?...but until any real proof pops up? anyones best guess:huh:

    The Shelby de Mexico Mavericks had the Mexican block 302's with 4-speed transmissions and 8" rears.

    I communicated directly with Edwardo Velazquez, the operator of Shelby de Mexico, before he died. He told me in his letter what motor and transmission they had, as well as all the other major modifications, and a rear end change was NOT included.
