Figured I would ask. I was thinking of going with 255-60-15 mickey thompson et street radials. My car should be in the mid 7's on motor and high 6's on nitrous in the 1/8. I was wondering if that would be a good tire choice for a street strip maverick.
. my son has those same tires on his 351 w powered 87 mustang. they do a fair job. he does spin coming off line with them. but they have did ok so far has had them two years now.
Me gots 275.60.15 MT ET Streets, 6.80s sticking like glue on stock suspension with a bent set of old traction bars.
275's for me too. I've only put about 25-30 passes on my car. Got a 6.97 out of it twice. Running a toploader so I'm not very consistent.
I was running the MT 255/60/15 DR's on my 85 Mustang Notch I just got rid of and they worked excellent..... Car had a very mild motor with a 70mm turbo on 13# of boost, It ran a best of 6.42/108mph in the 1/8th..... I also plan on running the same tire on my 71 Grabber when it's finished some day.....
^not so much we have a pretty crappy prep crew here, and our 10.5/275 radial class has been 5.1X with a healthy amout of rules on the cars.
that would be a good track around here. At one local track a fast radial tired car was about embarrassing to watch. Go to another track with the same setup and it would be an impressive setup
