Well, my Maverick deffinately needs some work, starting with a paint job. I'm having trouble deciding what I want to do though. Should I keep it blue, or should I change the color along with the interior? I like the idea of keeping it blue, but then what color blue? I'd like to make it into more of a muscle car than anything, but I want it to look nice. I'm 16, so the way it looks is deffinately very important to me. If I decided to change the color, how much would it cost to change everything? Seats, carpet, dash, etc...? I don't think a red car with a blue interior would look all that good. I've decided I'm probably going to change the hood too, probably install a scoop or two (?) and add a front spoiler. Which one though? I've been looking around for pictures of differen't Mavericks and the only one I've come across that I really like the looks of is the one at http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/maverick.html The red one toawrds the bottom. That car looks awsome, I was thinking if I stuck with blue to have the paint done like that only in Blue w/ white stripes. The seats need to be done, BAD. Can anyone give me a general roundabout estimate about how much it would cost to have them redone? The carpet will probably need to be taken out and replaced also, another estimate? The dash is cracked, it can be replaced can't it? How much for a new dash? The rear bumper also needs to be replaced, I've seen them for $119.00, can they be found for a cheaper price? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!
i'd keep it the same color.color changing can be costly.a good used or nos(new old stock)dashpad is going to be hard to find,let alone expensive.you can get a plastic dash cover for between $ 45-65.couple of different brands to choose from,same as the spoilers.and it's hard to tell the difference when installed right.i think carpet is roughly around$159.00.don't quote me on that price,it's just a rough estimate.uhpolstery is also costly.just do a little at a time and you'll be finished in no time.check with the classifides on the forum,in some cases you'll find someone parting out a maverick and you can pick up a whole mint interior at a reasonable price,and also any other parts you could think of.post some pics when you can.where did you find the bumpers for$119.?chuck.
