I have a Very nice rear seat Luxory Decour one. It is like brand new ,here is the Problem ,it Stinks.... Like urine? mice I think. I have sprayed it with Freebeeze auto spray and air it out ...but still smells. Anyone have a suggestion? It is a really Nice seat I would like to use it. Let me know ,Thanks
Might try this-- mix bleach, not too much, with hot water, soak a towel the size of the area that is giving you issues, wring out the towel and place the hot bleach/H2O towel over the area. Let it stand as long as poss, repeat as neaded until the urine is drawn out of the material. Throw the towel away and use another after each ap. if needed/or able. You also might try a pet store or vet that carries such chems that deal with urine etc. Otherwise if it is so far into the foam, then you will need to do the above mentioned! Good luck and let us know what works for you / end up doing! Then as I read before on here, place Irish Spring in those areas where you think the mice might get in. Can also use dryer sheets, they hate that too. The camper dealers around here place dryer sheets all over their campers and swear by em!
I would just take the seat to a good auto detailer and see if they can steam it out. Shouldn't cost too much, especially since it's already out of the car.
Had the same problem with my 4 door. Cleaned the hell out of everything but nothing worked. All the research I did said nothing will get that smell out until I found out about ozone generators. I rented a commercial one and it did the trick. I was amazed. Cost about $127 to rent one but it was worth the money. I rented one from here: http://www.maxblasterusa.com/ Its been a couple of months now and still no smell.
they had me sold untill i got to this part..."The process by which we produce our ozone is called the corona discharge method". for some reason i could see Dave Boyer and his Corona Discharge Method and that wasn't a pretty sight... DFF...
what i done to mine was got a couple of bottles of greased lightning filled the padding of the seat full let sit for a lil while and then monsooned it with a garden hose and let it sit in the sun for a few days. No smell
My wife previously worked for a Vet. and they sold a product that removed and neutralized urine. I had bought an old jukebox that smell horrible (cats had pee'd all over it.) After soaking the lower wooden parts with this spray the smell had totally gone away. The box is now restored and in my family room and it has no odor what so ever.
Probably what you are talking about: Nature's Miracle They make a whole line of products For a few bucks i would give it a shot... Soak the entire seat. Wash it first, then soak it with Natures Miracle, Let it stand for a while, rinse blot dry repeat... Then leave it in front of a fan overnight... Spray some inside the car too, Couple of bux and some elbow grease, I bet you will like the results. I have 3 dogs, 3 cats, a rabbit, 5 guinea pigs, 2 hamsters. I would know.
Only thing I would suggest is pull the back seat out and just set it in the car so the ozone can get to the back side of the seats.
