It is not a Toploader four speed - The numbers don't match. It may be an over-drive tranny with 3rd gear at 1:1 and the 4th gear an over-drive. They look a lot like a toploader but they have a different shifter mounting pattern, a bulge in the side of the case for the O/D gear and the speedometer drive is on the wrong side for a Toploader. Some of these even had an RUG part number. The suffix was different than any of the Toploaders though. RAD was never used, to the best of my knowledge, for Toploaders.

Toploader speedo location depends on the model. Some were one side, some the other. His numbers don't point to a Toploader though, more likely a weaker Mustang II 4 speed. it's got a April 21, 1975 date code.

    Yup

Yup, it's the Borg Warner SR4 transmission that Ford used the RAD
code for. Amazingly, you can get rebuild kits for them! It later metamorphed into the T4 then T5 trans.
