I selected "other". I purchased a Maverick that has already been restored and I have no interest in "hotrodding" or "racing" it. I'm just interested in enjoying the nostalgia of owning another Maverick (my first car was a Maverick). Perhaps I would be characterized as a "cruiser".
I like taking parts from other cars and putting them on mine, going to yardsales and grabbing parts, trading, ect... so im a hotroder.
I'm a restomodder. I love the car, but I think updating them to a modern drive train, overdrive, a/c, etc. makes for a more enjoyable machine. I do think that the restoration of these cars is essential, to keep them as made, but not for me.
I think the original maverick design left a lot of be desired, considering the power train and suspension options available today. So, I'm a hotrodder. The only thing that is going to be stock on my car is the sheet metal.
A cruiser so other I guess, it has a few mods and as bills get paid off more mods or maybe another maverick.
I fall into the restomod class. I want it to look like it suppose to look but have a few stuff I want it to have. I'm not into rims over 15" on a classic car or one slam to the ground...it doesn't look old school enough.
I suppose I wud echo the sentiments of Earl and Castellano. Im a modifier\restorer and cruizer. My car came w\some of the conviences of today; disk brakes, AC and power steering. I have upgraded, reuilt and\or replaced several things on the car in the six months I've had it. The drivetrain w\ a mildly modified sml block, C4 and stock diff works for me -- It will most likley remain as is. I am just waiting now for nice wx so I can get started on the rest of my planned upgrades.
All of the above. That's why it's nice to have more than one car - you can do different things with each of them. We also left out "preserving". My '71 Grabber has 53K miles and will stay original. The only things I plan to do is correct a few things that were changed over the years by the original owner. It will stay a 6 cylinder, 4 lug, bench seat car.
