I've been throwing the idea to converting to efi for awhile and I'm weighing my options. I hate the stock 5.0 intake first off it's ugly and takes up alot of room. I've been woundering about drilling my edelbrock performer RPM air-gap intake for injectors and using one of those 90 degree adapters that go from the standard squere bore to your standard throttle body. my intake already has places marked on it for drilling but I have no idea what it would cost, and I have no idea what shops in the area would be able to do it...
Another thing I've kinda thought about was to use a spacer and drill it for injectors and use the said adapter for the throttle body so the end result would be kinda like a TBI only it wouldn't be TBI... thanks for any info and input.

Give either a call and see what the say, I would be curious on your pricing qoute to if you don't mind. Thinking about doing similar.

I would personally vouch for any of these shops, I have worked with all of them one time or another and was pleased.

there is alot of info on this in the turbo fourms. usually you need to get fuel injector bungs welded to the intake. the intake is not thick enough to just be drilled. i do belive that edebrock is now selling an air gap intake with the bungs in it already. they use it for there proflow fuel injection system

Injectors wont fit into those thin wall runners. Like Bryant said you need an intake built up for injectors.

Is Duffee still open? The last time that I tried to contact them all it did was ring, no answering machine or anything. Last I heard, Brian moved the shop over to his house but I haven't been able to get in touch with them since. (Of course this was probably a year ago.

The RPM Air gap I have has spots for drilling in each runner, but I think that those are primarily for fogger nitrous or starting points for fuel injection. Like was said, bungs would still have to be welded on I believe.

your right they are intended for nitrous but I figured they would work for injectors as well with the bungs... I'll try to make some calls monday to see about pricing, to atleast satisfy my curiosity. maybe they could answer some of my other questions my fuel injection systems...

You may be better off selling your intake and buying one with bungs already installed. Looks like it's not cheap by any means though, Jeg's has it listed at $395.99!:16suspect
