What years can I use Comet fender

    I have a 74 2 dr Comet. what years Comet and Maverick fenders are the same?

    Fenders are the same for Comet & Maverick from '73-'77.

    1973 mercury comet
    i know of a 4door 72 comet with bad 250 motor for 200 bucks. the grille is gone and there is slight dent in hood. would it be worth it for engine parts for my 73 with the 250 6?
