    HiYa Peoples,
I'm new here and glad to be a part of this maverick/comet chain :dancing:
Gotta question please, I have a 1975 four door maverick 4.1 inline (whatever this means) Is this a big 6 or ??
Also, is this motor faster/stronger than a Dodge 3.6 in a 2009 150 pickup truck? My hubby has this dodge truck and thinks that my maverick is faster than his truck. What do y'all think? Please answer if you can about the 4.1 as mentioned in my post.

    Thanks Y'all very much!

    Hello,
The 4.1 is a 250 cubic inch inline engine. These are great little engines and would very possibly be faster than the truck with each in stock form. It really depends on a lot of factors such as tuning and condition of engine. I've never driven the truck so I don't have a clue as to how fast it is. I'll tell you one thing though...it will be WAY cooler driving the Maverick!!! You won't hear anybody saying "wow, look at that TRUCK"!!! :)

Thanxs everybody for your replies :D This is my second maverick. I had a 1973 back in the late 80's but had to sell her very sad to say b/c I could'nt take her with me.
I loved driving a maverick back then and still do now. I guess when you get that Mav life in your blood it's there to stay! AMEN to that eh??

Welcome to the board. If the Maverick is in good running condition it'll be faster than the truck. Make sure you can stop just as fast.:biglaugh::Welcome:

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
Welcome :) the 250 is the biggest of the small block six cylinders. Their pretty torquey! Also it weights about half as much as the truck that helps too! Now drop a V8 in there if you want it to be four times as fast :D
