i need new coils and springs neway...motor mounts, tranny crossmember, and a good tranny rebuild...is that it? excluding fuel line carb and such...also, would the stock fuel line from the tank to the pump be sufficient for a 302?

so your going with a EFI 302? the block its self drops in the same way any 302 would. to fit that EFI intake under the hood though youll need new schock tower braces. i think youll also need a in-tank pump and run a return line from the engine to the tank. stock mavericks dont have either. aside from that youll have all kinds of wiering to untangle

    good luck

cause guys think EFI when you say 5.0 , if you said 302 it would be carb

i hate to break it to everyone 5.0=302

since the 1980's alot of automakers advertise engine displacment in litres not cubic inches. so when you say 5.0 i thought you ment a 1980's 302, most of wich were EFI. if your putting in a carb'd engine in the swap will be alot easier. run a search theres tons of posts about the 6 to 8 swap

    good luck

Not trying to thread-jack here, but Ford lies when they call the 302 a "5.0". The actual displacement is 4.9 liters. A true 5.0 liter would be a 305, such as the Chevy 305.

    Now, back to the topic...;)

Dang Commies anyway! Started back in the sixties callin that 429 or one of them engines some kinda freakin liter crap! It ain't right I tell ya! When you speaking liter terms,,,it better be a drink that has a head on top of it and makes ugly women look beautiful or me pretty to them? Heck That's not the point here! It's a gosh darn size thing!

You ever hear a stroker engine called a 5.8 with a .8 on the stroke?? Heck no! It's the commies I tell you!!! cubic inch! The only way John Wayne described engines!! He's as Red blooded American as you can get! I swear to God there should be a State law on this!

Whoever went to the store to get a 946ml .9 liter of beer? Only a commie! We Americans go for a QUART of beer! Not cubic inch of beer, a quart of beer, the cubic inch is how we got to the BEER STORE!

I gotta go before this commie crap gets me upset!

How in the heck did this arguement get started???
    "Ford lies" wtf?

They rounded 4.95 up to 5... what's the big lie?

    They called the 351w a "351" when it's really 352 cubes.
They did it because in 69 their service depts were still working on FE 352s and tried to head off confusion.
Then we all know the Cs and Ms came out. I guess they decided the letters were a better way to go than 353 or 350...
    They are all 352s.

    Those bastards lied again.

The engine was the 428 and they refered to it as the 7 litre. It was a package on the galaxy I think. Ill stop now because this thread is going to be:nohijacking: highjacked!:D
