i'm new here and have aquired a 72 maverick equipped with a 302 and a c4 automatic trans. I plan on modding the upper end of the engine hoping for somewhere in teh 300 hp range @ the crank. Any ideas just throw them right at me :D . Not quite serious about it yet but will be in the near future :D. Good to find a maverick forum !

im located in new orleans, louisiana. my dad runs a bodyshop so i'll probably do the bodywork before i start modding the engine...it was previously wrecked and the small bumper was replaced with a huge grotesque bumper ..IMO. i think my mav was a spirit ? edition or soemthign...its liek white and blue trimmed in red whith white and blue interior with red trim as well. i want to replace the bumper with the smaller one and block/sand it for a loooong time before i paint it the colors i want : D. i was thinking about that ?sunshine pearl? ithat is the pearlish yellow that comes on the lamborghini gallardo wiht matt black racing stripse...and black interior. thanks for making me feel welcome ! i'm out for now !

Welcome to the board. Pics, we love pics.....Keep us updated. And yes, the Maverick Sprint was only made in 72. A very desirable Maverick for sure. It has awesome interior. I have a 72 Sprint myself.

Welcome to the board. BTW, As stated above the Sprint edition was only around in 1972, 1970-1972 Mavericks had the smallest bumper so you wont be able to get anything smaller.

well it had the small bumper but the lady that previously owned it wrecked it and the bodyshop that repaired it put the big 73? bumper on there. So basically i have to change it back to what it was. Sorry for being confusing,
