Its been a few years, but you used to be able to get a good quality stick-on "ford" decal/emblem for the center cap of an aftermarket wheel. I have just bought a set of Kestone Klassics for my mav and want to change the center cap emblem to one that has the FORD logo. These need to be no larger than 2 inches across, or around 50 mm. Any ideas?
You can get the Maverick ones from Craig. http://maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?t=42326&highlight=maverick+center+cap
Yep, saw them, they kinda looked cheasy to me, am actually thinking about these..... I think they look much nicer #270649513376 on ebay
The second ones don't look like they are sealed in the soft, UV protectant clear bubble. But I do like the dark color.
Decided to make my own from some late model ford aluminum wheels that had a center cap, will get a pic as soon as I can. Have one done and it looks pretty nice, we'll see how you guys like it.
Thanks, I think it will look great once on the car, I decided to paint it black to match the wheel sections that are blacked out. The silver was nice too, but I liked the black.
I just took the "keystone" sticker off the cap and centered it over the new one, then just eyeballed it, using several grinders, sanders, cut-off wheels, etc, untill I got it to fit the cap just right. Each one took about 30 minutes of grind and fit, sand and fit, you know...tons of patience. When I get them on the car I will get a shot of em.
