I wanted to know what off set the maverick take for its rim. I understand from maverickmans site that 17x7 with 4in backspace will clear however on on the sizes that fit there is no where where off set is listed anyone else have input? what off set should we search for when buying wheels no matter size. i understand 17x7 clears front but will 17x8 clear?

When you have the backspacing measurement, you don't need the offset. Most places you order wheels for rwd cars list them by backspacing. I think somewhere on his site he explains how to calculate it, if you can't find it, it explains it on the tirerack.com website too.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
17x8 will not clear unless they stick out or you decide to put a 195 tire on it...lol!

btw offset is a Neg it's about 11... like matt said most rims that are for our cars they usually go by backspacing not offset. i can't remember the foumula i think it is offset = backspace which is rim width / 2. don't qoute me on that one i failed math. ;)
