My Father and I picked up a '72 Maverick Grabber a couple of years ago and finally getting around to getting wheels/tires. He will be getting Keystone Classics in either 15x7 or 15x8. We are at stock height and I was looking at getting a 255/60/15 in the rear and 235/60/15 up front. I can't really find much information on if this set-up will work. I think Keystone Classics in 15x8 run 4" or maybe 3 7/8" backspacing. Any info on if anyone runs this set-up currently or HAS this set-up would be appreciated. Pics would be awesome so I can give my father an idea of what the size will look like!
What do you want? It tells you what fits? Compare the tires you want, with the diameter and width of ones that are known to fit.
235-60-15s up front with 15x7 4.25 bs was close at full lock but didnt hit ever while driving was also pretty close to rear leaf when mounted in back I know people put 255s in back but was with a 15x7..and thats not the best rim width for that tire
Also if everyone would contribute, This would end all these threads http://mmb.maverick.to/wheelsandtires.php
Exactly. Why don't people post up their tire sizes/wheel offsets there? Could even make a spreadsheet about what BS and tire sizes fit. Would a 4.25 BS be best? Maybe go with 4"? At what point will the fender lip be in danger of being rubbed against?
for front id def go with 15x7 with 4.25 bs not sure on rears with 8in can always measure your car..or buy the percys tool from summit but 245-60-15 on 15x7 with 4.25 would be safe bet for back or 235s all around if you want to alternate tires
How about these 15 x 8 front 15 x 10 rear both 4 in. offset Will these fit, with any size tire on my 71 Mav 2 door And these are nice old school slots
