Yes. I think you supposed to either paint the stripes on which then you could clear OR you apply the vinyl after paint has cured and leave it, no paint. So the vinyl has to be quality automotive grade I would think. I will be ordering mine in a few months from someone I have saved in my email. Want his link?
Are you still looking for a car? I see that in your avatar... You don't want to be sitting on the stripes for any length of time, they could go bad or something. They cost $$$.
Here it is anyway... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973...62QQcategoryZ80736QQihZ013QQitemZ230257741185 $249.99 for the reflective which is the one i'm gettin in silver.
I have a full set of black Comet GT stripes. Correct for 1973-1975 Comet GT's. $60 shipped to your door. I prefer Paypal but will take money orders or certified checks. Seth redcometgt@aol.com
Seth, when you say "full" set, does that mean with the hood part also. Just wondering cause I hope the price I was quoted come with it. Guess I better find out
Gene- No. The hood is painted on, and unless they have added it, I am not aware of Graphics Express having the stencil. These are the sides only 3M vinyl tape stripes. They do require some trimming at the intersection of the door and body-read 4 cuts. This is the same as all reproduction stripes. I should have videod/pictured putting mine on. Seth
Can they be peeled back if going on crooked? Tips on getting it straight...? Guess I wont have the hood portion
They are floated on. You spray the car with a mixture of water and windex, maybe mixed with some soap, or there are professional products available in body shops. Don't do this in the sunlight. Car must be clean. Keep spraying-keep it wet. I installed the fender stripe first. It will move around, and can even slide off the car so it helps to have an assistant or two. Get them centered, and squeegee the bubbles and water out from under the stripes. We can talk details later. It's not hard, but not easy. Seth
