they are cheap...price them at an auto. trans. shop...:Handshake ...get the one that has the correct amount of teeth...
Summit or Jegs, There was never a 157 tooth 50 oz balance flywheel made by Ford. I had to have one built in 95, cost me about 400 bucks. Now you can get a name brand for 100 dollars or so. The cheap china flywheels are cheaper than that, But i would avoid these at all costs.
Scott; go here ( http://www.ddperformance.com/) and see what they have to offer. If you are after a manual trans flywheel, they have the Fidanza flywheel, that has the 50oz and the 20oz weights. They bolt on, and the flywheel is rebuildable. You can also get them at Summit and Jegs. Good luck.
It depends. My C4 came from a 77 Granada, and it has the large bell that takes the 164t flexplate [dipstick in pan]. The flexplate I am using is the same one that was in the 85 T Bird I pulled the motor from, and it was hooked to an AOD. So, maybe the AOD and the large bell C4's use the same 164t flexplate. I would think a 157t flexplate with an AOD bolt pattern would be a aftermarket item.
All 302s built after 81 or so have the 50oz balance. They're easy to spot because they have one 2-4" long weight on it and straight across from the weight is an equal sized hole in the flywheel(flexplate?)
