I called him last Sunday to see how things were going. He is having some major renovations on his house so currently him and his family are modern day gypsies and living in his 30' camper trailer. He was hoping to run a cord out to the trailer and get back online this week but I guess it didn't make it.
he is one of those kinda guys.after everybody gets done here i just may cut/paste this thread in an e-mail to him. there's a bunch of great folks here but none is a better guy than doug!
yea I had noticed he wasn't responding when people mentioned him on the board, can he still get email? glad he is OK, I have done the travel trailor thing and man do they get small in a hurry!
This is a good thread. Doug is one heck of a guy. I first met him at the roundup in 1999. If you think this message board is awesome, and trust me, I do think it is, the Roundup is the live version. If you are into maverick/comets, the roundup is the best vacation I have ever had. Craig has put so much effort in to keeping it a quality thing. Families can enjoy every aspect of it. Quality time spent with quality people, with plenty of things to do that are not car related. The motel is really nice with plenty of things to keep youngsters busy as well as super food! The town that it is held in is easy to get to, and lots of nice attractions there and nearby. Dan
Must be some kind of Dougittis, I was starting to wonder where he was also. Maybe it's a new game "Where's DAB?" He could drive around the country in a Grabber and you have to figure out where he is. Russ
