WEll I am finally getting something done, actually was going to have the COmet picked up today to get a flexplate installed, I just haven't had the time, and wanted to fianlly get it driveable again!! I am then going to start replacing hoses and belts, get the plates renewed, and finally drive !!
Still waiting to get mine on the road, since febuary, much frustration, but getting closer. if i can make one and only one suggestion as a mav lover longing to git er done, it would be take some time and do it right. (speaking from experience, as well as ethics)
Got it back, but had to by a new distributor, my mechanic informed me the old one has metal filings in the cap... Gonna put it and a new fuel pump on this weekend!! Drove it home though, had it on the interstate for about 3 miles, frist time since I owned it that it would shift correctly, ( in previous posts I learned that the kickdown was rusted in the kicked down position) I have owned the car since '98 and have logged less than 100 miles. Hope that changes in the next few months my goal is to get to National meet next year!
