    1. Explorer rearend retaining its stock disc brakes
    2. Granada 11" disc brakes up front
    3. 76 maverick power brake booster setup.
    4. 84-86 SVO mustang master cylinder
    5. Keep the stock proportioning valve (the car originally had manual drum all the way around) or use svo mustang proportioning valve? :16suspect

I don't know if the booster and master are compatible, but if you use that booster, you will need the special shock tower brace as well. There are a few little car boosters that are small enough to swap into our cars 'straight up', rather than going to the big stock type. Check around online for the Geo booster mod. There is a Geo booster that is almost a bolt in for shock tower Fords. I think you have to drill 2 holes in the firewall.

Also, the Exploder rear is not a bolt in. The brakes will transfer to a Torino bearing 9" rear if you happen to have one. Otherwise, small bearing 9" and big bearing 8" rears (stock Maverick) will accept certain year Crown Vic rear discs. The CV rear discs are exactly the same as the Exploder discs, other than the mount for the axle tubes.

Most folks haven't needed a prop valve for front disc/rear drum, and 4 discs shouldn't even require a different valve in theory, much less reality.

Your best bet, at least IMO, would be:
    Granada front disc...
Crown Vic rears, on your stock 8"...
    Done...

You are opening a big can of worms with the booster and the Exploder rear. Definately not bolt in mods for the most part. You even have to mod your brake pedal to have the correct geometry for power assist brakes. Manual pedals have too much leverage and won't work properly.

I thought the Crown Vic rear disc brakes used an calipers with integral parking brake verses the Explorer which uses the rotors with an internal drum type parking brake.

Another booster option is the Falcon unit from ABS Power Brake. (Search ABS Power for information)

Nope. CV uses the same top-hat rotor with internal shoes. Exactly like the Exploder. Work with our brake cables, just like the Exploder.

I haven't check the link for Falcon booster, but the idea for using the Geo booster came from the classic Falcon community, so it wouldn't surprise me to see a Geo booster being sold on that site.
