I was wondering if window regulators are specific to one side or the other. I think they are, but I just want to make sure. Is there anyway to tell by the part numbers if they are driver's or passenger's? Thanks alot. -Corbin
Corbin; wondering if you can buy the regulatory new, either reproduction or NOS. I need a driver's side regulator, so if anyone has one, let me know. Must be in good shape. Earl
Wow, Earl! I have the exact same need; a driver's regulator. The crank nub that comes out of the regulator is all loose and it won't roll up easily at all. It requires two hands for operation! I'll stay on the lookout as well. -Corbin
There is a NOS regulator on ebay. Check it out! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1848170714
Corbin; mine is just loose, and the window rattles when it is down. Tried tightening it up, but no good. Doesn't say if the one on ebay is drivers or passengers side. Later, Earl
my interchange manual dosen't metion any difference for the manual regulator, it does say that the electric regs on the other models are not interchangeable, but nothing about the manual ones. it lists 2. D0DZ6223200-1A and says this part is obsolete, then lists a D1DZ6223200A-1A. this is listed for 70-74 mavericks and 71-74 comets. sorry, this book only goes to 74. this reg is not listed on any other models. the models only list one number for the reg making no mention of driver or passenger side.
Thanks, Don. I am wondering if they are the same as a Mustang of the same or similar year? I have a Mustang book here, and I am going to compare the part numbers. Earl
i have different numbers for the mustang regulators. also i just saw the reg on ebay and that number is for a 71-77 4dr sedan
Hello earl and corbin, I guess the three of us have something in common!! a number of years back, my drivers side window got real stiff to roll up and down, finally the handle snapped right off the crank, and wallah, I need one too!
