any " flowable" sealer will work. permatex makes some, there are 2 step sealers, and ribbon sealers. its just to make sure the sealant doesnt dry out and crack, therefore creating or leading to leaks.

Is this just used in the windshield weatherstrip slot where the glass goes into or just where the rubber attaches to the steel windshield frame - - or both? Same with the rear glass I would guess?

use it anywhere you'd like a pliable non hardening seal. of course over time it will dry out, as we've all seen.

...from what i understand from the ...old glass installers...is it needs to be a heated forced application...
the new stuff for late model glass is like a glue...it just ...sticks...the glass to the frame.:tiphat:

I did'nt use any sealant just new weather strips on both the front an rear glass . I would wait on the sealant till after you install the glass to see if you have a leak an your glass guy can inject sealant into weather strip between glass an rubber then .

    just my 2cts. jay

P.S. After installing my glass no leaks and no sealant
