just looks to me like theres a ton of posts for clips along the bottom..do i use them all? accross the top it's about a 6" span or so in between clips yet the bottom are like 1.5"? apart. so the thing there is do i use all of them..? and with the funny looking metal standoff things, how do i put those back on? i took pics of them while they were still on the car to try and get them back in place..but i cant figure it out and i want to get someone...or me to install the windows here soon..i'll only attempt this is youTUBE makes it look dead simple.
My stands are still in place, I can look closer at them if nobody else chimes in. I didn't want to take them off. Personally I think you'd be fine with fewer clips. When I took my lower molding off the clips seemed like overkill. Fewer clips would make the molding easier to install and should hold the molding just fine imo.
Alright so I got the clip situation worked out.. Just used tem all. Is it possible you could get me a pic or two of the stands? Thabks
Here's a pic. Still dirty and full of grey dum dum. Looks like they slide and lock in on the tabs from the side but it's hard to tell at this point.
just a heads up for u , a windshield guy told me that the old window sealer has asbestos in it and causes cancer so you want to wear gloves when dealing with that stuff
I noticed last night I have 2 of these on 1 side, and 1 on the other. Not sure if it came that way or if one stuck to the windshield gasket and I threw it away???
Thanks for that, im trying to locate someone to do my windows and the chevelle at the same time for a package deal..i have 4 of the stand-offs..2 from this car and 2 from a mav..should i put 4 orwould it even matter? thinking about it i only see it needing 2 due to the fact windows shouldn't flex lol.
