okay..so i bought a winsdshiled for my 73 mav today..it has an aftermarket rear view on it. but my question is, the windshiled thats currently in it has the original rear view...now, this is nitpicking, but should i put the original rear view on the new windshield?? or just elave the aftermarket one on there

That is a question only you can answer. Understand that the absence of the original rear view mirror will not change the value of the car, since these cars are not high sought after collecters(yet)

Use the one that looks best. IMO I would use the stock one. I tend to not like aftermarket stuff like that, half the time it looks weird-out of place.

James; go to Autozone and get the generic rear view mirror. They have a short one or a long one. I got the long one, since it gives a better view. They are about $10, and look as good as the original. Also, they fit in the mount on the windshield. Good luck,

    Earl

I got a rear view mirror from a full sized station wagon and put into the maverick. The mirror is bigger than the maverick one and uses the same window mount.

    The daily driver in me...

I grabbed a rearview from a ~92 Caprice Classic and after running a few wires around, I have a sturdy mirror with reading lights!

    Just a thought,
