I have a couple scratches on my windshield from wipers rubbing when the previous owners owned it. My fingernail will not catch in them, so I was hoping that they were minor enough to be removed somehow. Does anyone know of anything that will get these out/filled. I realize that there probably isn't because this is real glass, but I was just hoping.... Thanks for any input.

last october i was at the et finals in las vegas. i talked to a girl from california that had a 64 fairlane. she said that the windows were in pretty bad shape when she got it. they looked great then. she said that she spent a lot of time polishing them with brasso. i recently got some for my 64 fairlane, but i haven't tried it yet. good luck.

Isn't Brasso a metal polish? Seems weird to use it on glass, but if it works, I am open to it. Thanks.

i thought that was wierd too. like i said the window in my 64 fairlane is in pretty bad shape so i figure there's no harm in trying. no guarantees though

Eastwood sells a kit for polishing windows. Not sure how well it works on scratches.

I had a scratch on my window from an ice scrapper. I went to a window repair place and they polished the window for me. Took the scratch right out!! I think it cost $40 or $50.

Thanks Craig, that's great to know. I should check with some window people in my area. I am happy that all hope is not lost for this windshield.
