    Hi guys:

Having had experience with the Pinto (crowd guffaws :hmmm:), and removing the windshield trim, I was wondering if the Maverick/comet was the same basic setup.

On the Pinto, the windshield trim is fastened on the perimeter with a number of clips that themselves slide onto what I call "nail heads". At the bottom of the windshield, the rubber itself is also secured by a quantity of 6 "flat" (well, shaped but solid) metal "shims" that are attached to the window frame with screws.

Is the Maverick set up the same way? Can anyone share a picture? Does the attachment method differ for different years/groups of years? Thanks!

    Chris

The Maverick uses clips all the way around. the trim across the bottom has 1 screw at each end. You have to get the side off first to access it.
