Wiper Removal?

    ok, Im sure this is a dumb question with an easy answer, lol but how do you remove the wiper arms from the actuator? I tried pulliing in the clip under the arm, but it still doesnt move. Thanks.

    You have to raise the wiper arm up from the windshield as far as it will go, then there is a little tab that you have to move outward, a small flat head screw driver works.

    I don't know about any tabs????

    I pry up on the opposite side of the arm and they pop right off. Put a wooden paint stick down to pry against so you won't ruin your paint.

    They also make a special tool to remove wipers that works very well.

    are you trying to remove just the wiper for replacement or the whole assembly?:)

    I got it, thanks guys. I had to remove the entire assembly for windshield removal. Thanks!

    Trying to take mine off they are not as easy as a Fox Body Mustang. I pushed on the clip and pulled but they are on there good. Knew if I searched here I would find a little help. Back to the garage !!:bananaman

    The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    I used a tool that is made to remove body trim. It worked perfectly it came in the 4piece kit i got at harbor freight.

    don't mean to hijack but has anyone changed the arms to the type that will stay up when you put them up like most newer vehicles? makes it easier to clean the windshield.
