I went to the WFC8 in St. Louis. It was unreal. A streetcar in Wild Street went 7.97 in a 1/4 mile and a Outlaw car on true 10.5" slicks went 7.37 @ 194mph. There were only 3 Mavericks and 2 Comets.

Here's a few pics. How cool would it be to have a Pro Mod with a Maverick body? Note the Outlaw car that still has the stock dash and a radio.

Interesting side note. One of the Mavericks looked familiar. We finally remembered that it was the same car that me and my brother took a picture with at the 1978 US Nationals when I was like 6 yrs old. It still had the same paint job and we still have the picture...talk about old school!

    I was there too

Took a bunch of pics of the 71-72 grabber blue Comet GT.

That blue Maverick pic you have was a wicked car. Took some engine compartment pics and kept trying to talk to the owner but we never saw him. Nice car, heavily modded.
