As some of you have noticed for a wile Ive been making changes little by little and posting the results. Well this is the big one. With the only change to the car being the AFR 165 comp heads, It went from running 13.0's to 11's WOW. 13.07s @ 102mph was comon last year, this time out it went 11.98 @ 111mph with 1.67 60s what a change. All this with the same carb as well 750 vac 2nd. Last year borrowing a friends 750 dbl pumper it went from 13.07 to 12.86, So with that said I'm going to stick the 750 dbl pumper on today and go to test & tune. Ill repost the results. Also thanks to Bossmav for some help getting me into the bald spot at the line. LOL just kidding Terry, though starting line conditions were not that favorable I'm still happy.

    Congratulations!

I know how I felt after I replaced my Victor Juniors with AFR 185's. It felt like the engine had a constant 75 shot of Nitrous!

Good luck witht he dual pumper numbers! Looking forward to your post.

Yeah, the track was a little slick yesterday. Your car ran "SWEET" I was very impressed with how it ran and sounded:dance:

I made it to the finals last night only to run out with a .010 light. I had to run that red AMX with the 33X15 slicks on the back, Spotted him almost a full second, caught him at the 1000 foot mark, pedaled it and hit the BRAKES and still ran a 10.28@110MPH on a .35 dial. That's racing!!

I'm sure you will enjoy T & T today, have fun.

A very impressive gain for a head swap, sounds like you got a setup that works well together, Terry sounds like you were chasing the car like I did...falling temps made for some fast passes...temp dropped almost 20 degrees here from 4-8 pm. I bowed out on a breakout too dialed a 5.77 and went 5.76 flat peddlin it at the traps.
Let us know how T&T goes Killer

one_fast_mav351, that's Killercomet's Comet. He lives in Falling Waters, WV.

Riporter, sometimes it's better not to be the fastest, but if you are that gives the other person the first chance to red light. Last night the temp dropped 20 degrees from a sweet 68 to 49 at 10:00pm when I made the last run. I was playing the spin because the track had some big bald spots, wouldn't you know I found a ok spot and had a 1.40 60 foot. That with the cool dry night air and my car at 145 temp made it WAY faster then it had been running.
Well I got off all that winter rust I had on me and the car acted like it had been racing all winter.

I'm sure Killercomet is having fun today and I hope he's in the 11.80's or better.
Yesterday you couldn't have smacked the smile off his face, even if I hadn't gotten to the finals it still would have been a good day just seeing how pleased he was!!

    Terry
