I must be in Maverick Heaven! I always knew there might be a forum out there like this. Every question I've been pondering for years is right here, to be answered. Wish I had found you guys a long time ago. I got 69.5 302 Mav. Just sold my beautiful 74 Comet 302. Gonna start soon on my 72 Comet 302. Definitely gonna put a 4speed toploader in as soon as I find a nice one. And always thought about putting a tilt steering wheel in, and right here in the forum, there's 10 guys talking about it, too. Pretty cool. Glad to meet you guys.

Yes Steve you have found maverick/comet heaven. Great bunch of people here. Where are you from? Did I mention to check out the MCCI, it is a club dedicated to the 70-77 mav/com much like this site.we have a bi-monthly newsletter, and host a maverick/comet Nationals called the round up every year where we try to get as many of us together as possible, it is a great time. Anyways welcome! Ward

Also there is another site http://www.geocities.com/fordmaverickcentral/ to check out that is hosted by a fellow maverick/comet nut.

Nice to have you here. I still cannot believe how rapidly this place is growing. There was a time when I was the "only one in the world" who liked Mavericks...

T.L. I was riding down the road thinking about your statement today. Was just thinking that I remember tossing my factory underhood light away many many years ago. Seems I had the hood up so much working on it that I was either taking out the bulb or taking a battery cable off. One day I just took off the lamp, tossed it. My first thought was, hmmm maybe someday somebody will want that in case they want to restore this car. Then my next thought, yeah right, like anyone is ever gonna restore a Maverick!! In my wildest dream would I have ever ever thought of all this support and friendship via a communication device like the internet. 25 years ago we were all the only one in the world. I still think its amazing.
    Dan
