i know there was a mav on here that was painted be jean and her husband recently (within last year) that was a nice bright yellow..... just looking for a pic cause the car is supposed to go for paint and I need to decide what color I want and I am leaning towards a nice bright color

If you are looking for a bright color, this one definitely fits. Jean and Dale did a beautiful job...I wish I had the patience and experience to do body work and paint like that. My talents lie elsewhere, I guess(adding EFI, keyless entry and other gadgets), so I decided to let the pros take care of the outward appearance for me. It really is amazing what good body work and a nice bright paint job will do for a car...before it was yellow, my Mav was metallic brown with a rotted vinyl top. When I drove the car around it barely got a second look. Now just about anytime I go for a ride I get people waving, giving thumbs up, rolling the window down to ask me about the car or tell me about a Maverick that their Grandma owned back in the day. I wonder if people would notice as much if I had had it painted something like dark blue.... Of course all the attention does make me somewhat paranoid that the "wrong" kind of attention may be coming my way as well, from someone who wants to key the car in a parking lot or a nice police officer who may need to add a speeding ticket to his monthly quota...:16suspect
