    Stefan,

How about making it a requirement for members to post their real names under their "handle"? It's more comforting talking to a person than an avatar. :16suspect I'm in an area where there's not a lot of Maverick activity and thus know only a few people by name...

Some people may not like having their real name posted on the internet.

I understand what you are saying, thats why it says "BRIAN" under my handle, however I think full names are unnecessary. I never post pictures of my license plates either. That's just me.

I would never want my name posted on the internet. Too many weirdos.

Yeah god only knows what someone could do that had a name, a location and a tag number :biglaugh:

Not bashing anyones points theyre trying to make, but most of the people who are scared to post their name on the internet is more then likely fairly new to it...whenever you see "internet" in the media its never good, so people who has never been on it thinks of it as this big evil place where you could have your life stripped from you in an instant...which in reality is a slim to none chance as long as you dont give out your social security number and bank info/anything along those lines...any other information is perfectly fine to give out

Id be willing to give out my full name, city and state I live in, phone number and date of birth and Id like to see anyone do anything with it that would even remotely affect my life...lol

I think first names would be fine...and if they dont want to give out their real name, they can come up with a nickname to put there.

If you use a nickname what is the difference from what you have now.
I posted my name and some wierdo from Texas and Oklahoma wanted to meet me for pie.:rofl2:
