    Is expensive a manual transmission of mustang 1997 in 1000 dlls, already installed and working in my mav???, by the way, if somebody this interested in one transmission of 4 speeds for ahead this on sale, mi mav has the 302 engine.

    Im in Mexico, so, is just for give me a idea about the cost between US and here. thanx.

    Doesn't seem to bad to me... I had to pay 2500 to have new tranny and clutch put in my Neon. Thats fwd tho... Are you getting the tranny and installed for 1000 or are you just paying 1000 to have it installed?

    $1000 is not a bad price if it is a good transmission and originally came behind a 5.0 motor. They are not direct bolt in so you either have to get an adapter plate, or go with the 5.0 bellhousing. If you go with the 5.0 bellhousing, you have to convert to cable or hydraulic clutch. In either case, the rear mount has to be modified and the drive shaft shortened. Make sure the guy quoting the price is aware of this.

    A transmission from a 97 Mustang will not work they were bolted up to a 4.6 motor and not a 5.0, bellhousing bolt pattern completely different.

    the cost was for tranny and installed, and they modified the bellhousing and other things, i not that other things, I do not remember to have paid by clutch.

    Right now is working.

    After '95 or '96 the input shaft was even longer than the earlier T5's. They'll have to space the tranny even farther back.
