Hi I am Zach Hughes I recently traded a 1992 gmc sonoma that had been totaled for a 1974 comet project car. Its 250 l6 automatic 2 door and appearently the brain went out on it and its been sitting outside for about 4-5 years. So theres a little body rust. The floor pans are rusted out i put my foot on the floor and it went right threw

I know its goona be along process but a fun one so i am looking forward to getting started on it.Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. I am not sure whether i want to go factory with it or hot rod it.

These cars dont have a brain, come to think of it, neither do most of the owners. I guess thats why we like them so much.

    Howdy and welcome.

I have a 74 that sounds a lot like yours, except the floors are great. So is the interior and body. There is a bt of exterior rust, but minimal. The car only has 66450 mi on it, origional and unrestored.

If your interested, $1500 O.B.O and you could have 2 of these wonderful cars.:)

Good luck on your project Comet and welcome to the board.

I dunno about the 'brains' part myself. I assume you aren't getting fire to the plugs?
