I&#039;m one of those rare types who really enjoys the tone and characteristics of the OEM speaker in the dash with the AM radio. Also, I&#039;m doing a factory restoration, and am not looking to upgrade the specs and sound of the AM radio.  If this is simply not acceptable please don&#039;t pull out the flame throwers.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Installed a new dash speaker in my orange Maverick today.  While it is a direct bolt in...it does require 4 holes to be drilled in order to mount it.  Got it from The Paddock as a Mustang uses the same dash speaker.  It is a dual voice coil speaker, with both left and right channels feeding the center speaker...and a tweeter for each channel.  Can&#039;t wait to fire this thing up and hear what it sounds like.   I will install some bass blockers on both channels as well.<br />

Aeronutronics Ford slide bar am/fm stereo. I can&#039;t find any info on it and was wondering mostly if it needs an 8 ohm speaker or if by the later 70&#039;s Ford had changed to 4 ohm ones?<br />

I want to bench test it at full volume but would like to match the right ohm speakers first. I did test a pair of 4 ohms wired in series on each of the 4 channels and it has decent sound and power. But I didn&#039;t...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Our 75 has <i><b>round</b></i> holes behind the kick panels - seems some years have more rectangular cutouts in the metal. The holes are right at 5&quot; in diameter.<br />

That leads me to think we need a 5.25&quot; (round) speaker (and a thin one at that) to mount to the metal behind the kick panel. But I can&#039;t really find many exact dimensional specs on Amazon speakers.<br />
