  • My father in-law gave me this car. It was purchased new by a young lady in Richmond, BC, near Vancouver, BC, Canada. It was always garaged. She drove it for 20 years, then went on to another car. My father in law bought it from her and stored it in the underground parking lot of apartment building he took care of. When he retired he had no place for the car, so gave it to me. It fortunately was undercoated when new. There is a bit of rust along the wheel wells and usual spots low on the body. I’m currently working on the rust but am not putting very much money into it just yet. I just finished putting in a new heater core and am waiting for a heater control cable from Melvin’s. I hope to take it to the Motor Mountain car show in Kimberley, BC this summer if things are opened up by then. Lots to get done before then!

Here is an update for the summer of 2022. I should have the temporary Bondo rust repairs done in time for the Kimberley Motor Mountain Nationals in late July. They have a section for project cars. Mavericks are rare these days and it should be a hit!
