Dash lights

    Im switching all of my interior over to led lights but i cant find which bulb the ash tray and heater control takes. I rember seeing someone posted a list of which bulb goes were and the number bulb it takes.

    I did the same thing awhile ago, i wrote about it and listed which bulbs i used and where i got them under interior tech articles, brighter dash lights started by another member. I also have a few pictures of before and after. Hope this helps

    What about doing led strips around the stuff you want back lit? More consistent I would imagine.

    Yes i am running a strip of white leds under the dash to come on when the dome light does.

    How difficult is it to switch out the heater control light?

    It ain't hard once you remove the speedometer cluster. The light socket comes out with the bulb from the rear of the controller. I used two table knifes to pry the cover off. Make sure the cover comes off straight or it will break the pins off the cover.

    Thank you, when i first got the car i pulled the cover off and broke 2 pins so i went to the local junkyard and grabbed a few black covers out of all the mavs he had. Im preppared :)
