The paper wrapped slinky tubing? Napa sells it, I think it is a Gates product.

I'm not sure on Melvin's, but I did find it at NPD.

Call when you order to make sure you get the right tubing. If you want the real paper covered foil like original, make sure you tell the order desk what you need and they will make sure you get the right one. Otherwise what is often sold online is a plain aluminum flex tube that you need to paint flat black to look right.

I called npd today and the girl I talked to said they only sell the silver kind, I wonder if that's true? She said that part number looks black in the picture but they are silver l will probably call back and ask a different person,

Unless they dropped it from their inventory, they had in the past. Maybe try an email to customer service. That way they can research it a bit. Tell them you want the paper / foil tube.

Yea, I'm that way too. BTW, the tube comes in different sizes. The Maverick uses the 3/4" tube, which you may want to specify in the email.

They may have been selling the Ford OEM tube .. which I think Ford Obsoleted several years ago ... so maybe only the silver is left. When I restored my car I got my tube from the local Ford dealer.

I did the same and I agree with dmhines....I think it is obsolete from Ford now.

The Ford part # is D4ZZ9D667A. Cant hurt to see if you can find one. I have 2 of them that I wont be using but due to my recent move to FL it will probably be this summer before I find anything.
