I want to get some different headers (have Hooker 6901's now) something with a little more room to get the bolts in the head. any suggestions?

I'm using these they fit nice with 2" tubes 3.5" collectors. note that this set has the diagonal bolt pattern designed to work with Trick Flow High Port Cylinder Heads.

Cliffs Notes version of my LONG story, I ended up with an oversize 7 qt oil pan, and my 6901s would not clear. I went with Hedman Shorties and actually picked up so low-end torque.

Lots of extra room in there now!

I used a set with the diagonal bolt pattern design on my 347 with AFR 165 heads. they make an adapter plate for them.

I know you went with the R/C kit. Did you remove fender well supports? If so why?

Not sure what "fender well supports" are.

I removed everything that the R/C kit instructions told me to.

Ok I see in your picture that you have not installed your shock tower patch panel.

RC-107 kit showed up yesterday :dancingpa: was hoping to start on it Saturday but the actual temp this morning is -19, Dont think the wood stove in the pole barn will help much.

Dang! And I quit working when the temp gets below 45° unless it's pressing business...
