I am thinking of going to a Hydraulic Cluch, I just did my T5 swap using the adapter plate and all the parts from MDL. I have looked at Rosehill Performance and like the set up and it looks cheaper then anything else that i have seen. I anyone using this that can give some advice? do i need to change my clutch fork being that i am using my same original that work fine with 3 speed, zbar and push rod?

I`ve seen several write ups on the Modern Driveline set up & it seems to work really well.

I ordered mine from Rosehill, love it and easy to install on my TREMEC, Wilwood master was easy to install and of course I have the TREMEC slave and bracket kit, there is a write up on here that I went by to do mine, easy!

Yes it was a manual shift with a cable setup that was very rigged, I set it up with a proper cable setup but still had problems, with the hydraulic I have now it is GREAT!

Are these hydraulic setups compatible with a top loader?

    Bob:
As far as I know, there are no "bolt on" kits to use external slave with Toploaders. I have either installed or used Internal Hydraulic set ups, from McLeod, Ram and finally MDL (Modern Drive Line) Tilton's unit. I found this to be the best, in terms of ease of installation, operation, reliability, adjustment/set up as it uses an adjustable threaded sleeve rather than shims/spacers like McLeod/Ram units. Tilton is a slip on over the input snout, no machining or anything is required, even though the Ram is a "slip on", the OEM input retainer snout has to be machined down.......
Can talk to Bruce at www.moderndriveline.com and he can answer any of your questions. I also found the above mentioned article regarding redrilling new hole in clutch pedal to align the Master Cylinder push rod, so you may not require the mechanical linkage adapter that MDL has.........

    David,

Are you sure that the hydraulic throw out bearing sold by RAM will not fit a toploader without machining the input bearing housing (snout)? I'm using the RAM hydraulic throw out bearing designed for the toploader and it does require machining of the "snout" for a WC T5 application, but I was under the impression it would fit the toploader without modification.

    Hi Ed:
Yeah, the RAM 78136 for Ford Toploader only fits 1.375" (1 3/8") or smaller retainer snout, all the ones that I have or know of, are 1.430" even their instructions mentioned that there where different size retainers and would only fit the ones under the 1.375"
This will not work with the larger big splined 1 3/8" input shaft and they do not make one for that application.........
Know anyone who wants a McLeod or Ram set up
    David
