Everything is getting more expensive. As time marches on, these cars are getting harder to find in perfect or untouched condition. If that Maverick you posted was a Mustang 10 years older, $500 would be considered a steal.

I agree that prices are climbing. I have seen a huge change just in the four short years since I bought my Grabber.

I paid $300 CDN for THIS car earlier this summer (delivered). I filled it with scrap metal and got back $68 from the scrap yard that sold it to me in the first place, and THEY lugged it both ways.

No motor or transmission, but it did still have the V8 frame mounts and a bunch of black interior small pieces I used in my Grabber. Things aren't getting any cheaper--great news for those of us who have cars already and especially ones that are for the most part finished, but it's looking like an expensive hobby in the future.

Stick around group ! Wait till they run a couple of fine Mavericks or Comets across the Highly Publicized Auction Blocks and they bring Big Bucks.. Eventually , a beautifully restored Restomod will be offered and then the fun will start.

I hope so, I have a TON in mine. Keep going! Maybe the SEMA car will help.

The sad part is that while Maverick prices are increasing, so are the classic factory-muscle car prices.
Muscle cars that could be bought for $6500 in the mid-'90s are now priced at 25k to 50k (and more).
So while you guys are getting excited about the price of your Maverick increasing, so is the price of everything else.

Not unusual .. It's becoming more difficult to ' build ' a good running car lately since the prices have ALREADY escalated a great deal . I'm going to take good care of my vehicles and I'm not planning on "Selling" any one of them So .. It doesn't really matter that the prices are increasing for everything .. It's taken a long time but Mine are finally 'FINISHED ' and I'm just going to concentrate on DRIVING them !

Maverick pricing. I had no idea that our mav's were so interesting. I had a man come by from a auction company to look at some 14 by 20 rare vintage rock posters from the 60's. He said now is the time to sell because of the age of the buyers. Then he saw the Maverick he called a friend over to look. His friend said i Can't sell the Mustang's any more or the Camaro's . My buyers are look for NEW

I went yesterday to pick up our deep fried turkey the fire department had cooked for us. I drove the mav, when I got there one of the firemen had his 72 big block, 4 speed Chevelle SS there, it's a frame off restoration. I got the turkey and put it in the trunk and then it was a 45 min. car show before I could get out.
it started out one person wanted to look at the mav. then another. as people showed up they would join the others. the Chevelle was parked one row behind me and no one even walked by to look at it. The number one comment to my car..."I see this around town all the time." some even heard it's name was "Patches".
there are always questions/stores wherever I stop.

note...being a car Guy, I asked him about his car...:yup:

i think people are tiered of seeing the same old cars at car shows , it seems like no matter where I go the car always gets a lot of attention, one reason I'm sure is that you don't see many of them around my area and for some reason young kids always wave or give thumbs up while passing them on the street. I think the cars are becoming more popular .

I agree, I think the "car show goers" are leaning towards the resto mods...
the thing about mav/Comets, seems everyone had one or someone in their family did, not every family had a Mustang or Camaro.
    I saw a 2017 Mustang on TV yesterday...$62K...:coco:
Jay Leno had a new Camaro on his show, comes from the factory with a...line lock...for burnouts...:slap:
